Discover the joy of clay in a nurturing and supportive studio with like minded creatives.
I have literally taught hundreds of people the wonderful craft of ceramics, from primary aged kids through to 75 year olds!
And all began with a ball of clay…
Some of my students have now gone on to set up their own studios.
Begin your clay journey!

“I came just to see what pottery lessons would be like and four years later I am still learning. Wendy has a way of explaining things that makes the making make sense. She shows you what it feels like so you understand the process, the actions and the clay. Wendy is not only my teacher but a friend. I’ve loved being in her classes, and seeing all the amazing work of her other students is a credit to her breadth of experience”.

“I had an enriching experience at the pottery wheel classes held in the serene High Country studio. I learned a lot from Wendy and found the instruction to be excellently delivered.
Highly recommended!”

“We (my daughters & I) have just completed a term of clay fun with Wendy, learning all things wheel-related and loving it. Wendy is detailed in her instructions and makes it easy to follow in a relaxed fun atmosphere - we have learnt and practiced so much. Lucky to be doing next term too - making memories and Christmas presents at the same time!!
Many many thanks, Wendy. Loving our Tuesday nights with you.
Cheers, Monnie”

Wendy Jagger’s work is strongly influenced by seasonal changes in the landscape and the diversity of native flora, particularly in rugged alpine, inland, and coastal regions of Australia. She revels in painting en plein air, on location, using gouache or oils. These paintings, photographs, and drawings taken from the field are further developed in the studio in a range of painting media and translucent porcelain.
Selected as a finalist in numerous national and international art prizes with her ceramics and paintings. Her work is held in private and public collections, including Bendigo Art Gallery, Manningham Gallery, and Holmesglen TAFE Collection. She has completed commissioned pieces for clients such as the National Gallery of Victoria, the Victorian State Parliament, Mazda Australia, the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, and Mt Buller RMB.
Wendy has more than 30 years’ experience in art education, from primary through to tertiary levels. She now teaches weekly classes and workshops in her Mansfield studio, sharing her acquired knowledge and skills. She opens her studio to the public on the Melbourne Cup weekend and is the founder of the successful and award-winning Mansfield Open Studio Trail, fondly known as MOST.
