"Breathing Space", Oil painting, Framed
“Breathing Space” - When the snow melts the alpine flowers emerge, trees spring up from the weight of the white mantle, unfurl new leaves and breathe again.
Material - oil on canvas. Framed in a Tasmanian Oak shadow frame.
Size - 80 × 80 cm, 3 cm depth
My work is strongly influenced by seasonal landscapes and native Australian flora. I revel in painting ‘en plein air’, within the landscape and trying to capture the effect it has on me. Victoria’s High Country where I live, provides plenty of inspiration for my dual practice of painting and ceramics.
